What coil cleaning actually involves
A loaded evaporator coil fails quietly. Airflow drops first. Then the coil runs colder than design. Ice forms on the face. Refrigerant returns to the compressor as liquid. That is how a cleaning job turns into a compressor job. Condensate also stops draining cleanly once the fins pack. Water finds the attic deck instead of the pan.
